How do I order a barcode scanner?
Add the models you want to your quote cart or write to us on the Contacts page or at +373 79 170 490. We will get back to you with availability, lead time and a quote. Payment is made against an invoice issued by S.R.L. «POS CONSULTING».
How much does a scanner cost?
Prices are not shown on the site, because the same model ships in different configurations: wired or wireless, with a stand, with a cable, with accessories. The price is set individually in the quote, depending on the configuration.
What should I include in a quote request?
Describe where you scan (checkout, warehouse, production, courier work), which codes you read (1D, 2D, DPM), how many workstations you have, which system the scanner connects to (POS, WMS, ERP) and whether you prefer wired or wireless. On that basis we propose two or three options.
Which scanner brands do you offer?
We offer Zebra, Honeywell and Datalogic scanners. The Honeywell Productivity Solutions division is now part of Brady Corporation. We choose the model by task, not by brand name. The ranges are on each brand's page.
What is the difference between 1D and 2D scanners?
A 1D scanner reads linear codes (bars) only, while a 2D imager reads both linear and 2D codes (QR, DataMatrix), including from a screen. If you work with DPM marks or small codes, you need a 2D imager. Details are in the barcode scanner guide.
Wired or wireless scanner: which should I choose?
A wired scanner (USB, RS-232) is simple, needs no charging and suits checkouts and fixed stations. A wireless one (Bluetooth) gives freedom of movement in a warehouse or store but needs a battery, a charging station and pairing. The choice depends on the workplace.
How do I choose the right scanner?
We start from the task: checkout (presentation or bioptic), receiving and warehouse (handheld, industrial where needed), production (rugged, DPM) or work on the move (wearable). Then we pick the code type, the connection and accessories. If you need a screen and an app, see terminale-mobile.md.
Do you deliver scanners across Moldova and how fast?
Yes, we deliver across Moldova. Models in stock are shipped the next business day; equipment supplied to order is delivered within one week of payment. Delivery is free in all cases (Chișinău and across Moldova). Pickup in Chișinău is possible by prior appointment over the phone.
What warranty do the scanners have?
The equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The warranty period is 12 months. To extend the warranty or arrange out-of-warranty service, we discuss the options at the quote stage.
Do you configure scanners and integrate them with POS or WMS?
Yes. We set up the interface (USB HID, COM, Bluetooth), prefixes and suffixes, programming by barcodes, choose stands and cables, and help with integration into POS, WMS or ERP through AutoID. Response time for support requests – in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
